Intermediate Java Developer

Must Have

As a Production DBA with AbeBooks your will be a key Member of the Systems Database Group responsible for providing overall database development and support.
Responsible for providing day-to-day support and maintenance for key Oracle databases and services of our enterprise application platform:
- Responsible for investigating potential database related issues; some urgent occurrences may require you to be available via a blackberry when needed
- Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance
- Work with the db and operations teams to automate reactive procedures where possible, and to promote rapid response to known db related issues
